Growing Rural Education

Growing Rural Education

Between now and April 6 farmers can nominate their local public school districts to compete for a grant of either $10,000 or $25,000 as part of the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program. Sponsored by the Monsanto Fund the program is in its third year, and is investing over $2.3 million this year to strengthen math and science education in rural communities. Administrators from nominated school districts can then submit grant applications for either amount through April 21. Launched in 2012 the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education program has awarded more than $5 million in grant money and helped more than 400 school districts nationwide; improving science and math education across 39 states. So don’t miss out on the chance to grow rural education where you live. Go to americasfarmers.com to nominate your local public school district and get helpful information on how you can spread the word about America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education efforts in your community.
