Cheminova For Fruit

Tree fruit producers who are looking at the 2014 crop need to be making some decisions and Deneen Sebastion, Marketing Director for Cheminova says they have some great options.

SEBASTION: A product we have for the apple and cherry growers is a product called Topguard® Specialty fungicide and Topguard's® probably one of the best products on powdery mildew which is obviously - I believe the number one disease in your area for those crops.

Powdery mildew is a fungal disease that affects a large number of crops and can significantly reduce yield.

SEBASTION: We work with a number of researchers, obviously university guys up there to help us pick out the right rate, pick out the rotation and and try and get the best thing for the growers to manage the diseases out there and we're also worked with some retailers out there who have their own research farms as well so you know they need to be able to have their hands on it and get the feel for how the products perform.

SEBASTION: Topguard® has residual activity but the best time is early in the season because it's such a very strong powdery mildew product. You can get that disease under control then you can rotate with other products later on in the season.
