Hort Speakers. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

The Washington State Horticultural Association's 109th Annual Meeting and Trade Show gets under way next Monday in Wenatchee and promises to be another fine show with lots of great speaker presentations. Some of the information you will hear about includes: Global PPE practices and assessments for WA workers; Enhancing Biological Control in Western Orchards, Research Update on Predistable Ripening of Pears among other things. There are even pesticide credits available according to Hort's Stephanie Chance.

CHANCE: We have anything from pests and disease to application technologies which by the way is offering 4 pesticide credits which is the most that we've ever gotten for a session. We are offering pesticide credits for 5 of the sessions. Both Spanish sessions one and two are offering one credit each. Pests and Disease has three credits, pears has a credit and then Application Technologies has four credits. Lot of information in these sessions and then also a chance to get pesticide credits.

The convention is this coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Wenatchee Convention Center and is a partnership between WSHA, Washington State University and the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission.

That's today's Fruit Grower Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network.
