7-5 IAT Ag Leaders

 I recently had an opportunity to go out to a Meridian High School to judge some speeches that were being made by competing Future Farmers of America. These kids weren’t geeks with straw in their teeth believe me. With all the negative news you hear about high school kids these days, I want to tell you that the kids I met and listened to were an inspiration. Well groomed, polite, articulate, and strong thinkers. FFA is a fabulous organization and local farmer Sid Freeman is very involved with them: “They get that leadership development they get an actual practical application for business math and economics, they also get exposed to a variety of vocations that might be their livelihood. National statistics prove that kids who go through the FFA program go on to be community leaders”.
