3-8 SS Tentipi

 All the cozy comforts of home while you are hunting at 10,000 feet in the wilderness in freezing weather.

 Tommy Mansfield tells me about some of the features that go along with what the Swedish manufacturer calls the Tentipi.  This is as unique a set up as you will find anywhere. “ What is incredibly unique about it is that when you open the top you are able to have an open fire in the tent. That weirds people out and scares them until you realize that the Indians here and in Sweden  have been using open fires in tents for centuries. The big cotton tents are fantastic base camp tents. Really they are competitive with the wall tents. The problem with wall tents, they are nice and cozy and big and roomy but they are a pain in the neck to set up. It usually requires a couple of guys and a couple of hours. All of our single center pole tepees go up in 5 min. and one guy can set them up so they are and outfitters dream. The big heavy cotton models are designed for base camp situations but if you are going after sheep the very light weight models would be selected. When you say lightweight what do you mean in terms of pounds? 4 or 5 pounds for the smallest ones and they are very portable.
