Liquid Fertilizers Part 2

Liquid Fertilizers Part 2

Liquid Fertilizers part 2. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Line On Agriculture.

Stuart Schilling, Pacific Northwest Regional Sales Manager Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizers says that potato growers using their product have found good flexibility and safety. And Schilling says another big benefit is yield.

SCHILLING: We have research over the past 4 or 5 years out in the Pacific Northwest that show replicated plots where we are improving the bottom line for the grower at the end of the day.

That’s a big message to growers. And Schilling says the company is expanding to meet needs.

SCHILLING: It’s going quickly. We’ve actually dedicated a lot more company resources to it. When I came on 10 years ago, I was the only guy covering the Pacific Northwest. As of today now we have 3 sole salesman that cover our dealerships in the Pacific Northwest and we have a full time agronomist dedicated to helping us grow that business who’s had experience for the last 20+ years in potatoes.

Schilling talks about timing on their product.

SCHILLING: It all comes down to what have you done in the past. Timing; we like to make a program based on soils; what they’ve done in the past application equipment. Timing is a very crucial part of that. We’ve got to be in there when they’re usually planting and getting the products on. Efficacy is excellent. We use raw products that are very clean products, safe at foliar time plus we have a full line of nutrients.
