1-8 SS Chef Job.
I was on a recent hunting trip in Corpus Christi. The lodge was on a 110,000 acre ranch and it was owned by a man named Jimmy O’Connel. The meals were out of this world. So I complemented the very talented chef... Chef David Larousse. I watched him preparing a meal for 20 hunters as he chopped green peppers. I asked him and then started talking to him after chatting with his boss. “Tell me how you got the job. I heard it was under very special circumstances. You were the only applicant. Well I hadn’t heard that part of the story. I told the outfitters that hired you, they said they thought it was strange that you were the only applicant. But since they like what you do so much, I told him well that’s like getting a hole in one. I had applied for 2 jobs but one of them was out West up in Idaho I know you’ve heard that. I was very keen on that job then I got a phone call from Jimmy in Africa. He actually called me while he was on a safari and he said we would like you to be our chef. I was so surprised to get a phone call from Africa. I thought it must be celestial or providential so I said okay, I accept and I will come on down.”
