1-7 SS Elk 101

  Idaho resident Corey Jacobson is as dedicated an elk hunter as you will ever find. Not only is he committed to the hunting end of this wonderful outdoor activity but he has put his money where his passion is.  Corey produces a magazine which is entitled “Extreme Elk Magazine” and he also has a website named Elk 101. both the magazine and the website serve as marvelous resources.  Here he is: “ We started about a year ago and our 1st issue went out February of 2012. The concept is a little different than the rest of the magazines which are focused mostly on the trophy and while we still like big elk our focus is more on the extreme adventure what ever it is meaning that makes the hunt extreme for someone for example someone traveling from East Coast for 3 days to come out here and spend their one-week vacation hunting elk, whether it is backpacking into the wilderness 10 miles by your self, taking 15 years to shoot your 1st elk. The focus isn’t just on big elk although there are some big elk. It is more about the adventure and pays  a lot of attention on high quality photography.  The website Elk 101  is basically a resource for anything that you can imagine that has to do with elk hunting.  We have a pro-staff of about 15 guys who are well known and well respected elk hunters  from all over the Northwest.
