 Answering the allegation that wheat is poisonous.

 You may recall yesterday we quoted a doctor who said that wheat was poison. I called executive director of the Idaho wheat commission, Blaine Jacobson, and asked for his response.  “We haven’t been able to find any merit for these claims that are being made. We do is the staff of life. It seems like every couple of years somebody decides that they want to find a new twist on something in order to make the claim or sell a product and from everything that we can find out as we have dug into it is that this is one of those cases where somebody tries to develop a claim and a business and maybe sell a book based on a unique twist.”
