Salute to Ag’s Youth

Most anyone who was involved in either 4-H or FFA realizes the tremendous skills gained through those experiences: responsibility, self-confidence, leadership and public speaking skills - just to name a few.

There are many fairs happening right now throughout the Northwest. Washington Cattlemen Association’s President Larry Olberding encourages you to attend these fairs and support the participating youth.

Olberding: “I think it is a great time of the year. All these 4-H and FFA kids are now going to see some fruits of their labor for the summer’s-worth of hard work with their projects. We need to support these kids who have put in this efforts. Probably we could all agree that one of the most important things that we need in this country is people with a sense of community and a good work ethic. These are two things that 4-H and FFA projects and fairs combine and bring together in people. So get out and enjoy your community and support future agriculturalists of youth.”

If you want to experience exemplary animal welfare care in action, go to a fair and see all of the love and hard work the youth spend on their animals.
Your support can be both monetarily as in purchasing animals from the sales as well as cheering them on in the grandstands. ?
