3-7 SS Drift Boats

3-7 SS Drift Boats

A lot of fishermen like to use drift boats and will find out why.  If you have a feeling that you would like to try out a drift boat to go flyfishing on a river or any fishing for that matter, then you want to listen in on the conversation that I had with Craig Hettinger of Red’s fly shop in Ellensburg, Washington right near the Yakima River. “A drift boat is the transportation down the river to get to the holes that you cannot get to by driving a car. A drift boat gives you access to the opposite side of the river when the river is too high to wade across and the drift boat places you in the right spot so you don’t have to cast too far. It is way more comfortable than standing in the water. It is warmer. Okay I’m convinced but I don’t know if I want to buy a drift boat just to find out if I like it. No problem. We rent them to our guests. There are usually 3 people, one growing and one at each end fishing. Everybody takes turns rowing. What if I would like to try drift boat and I don’t know how? We give classes.
