 I met a guy who has been extremely successful over the years and his business is exporting hay to Asia. He and his son Richard Anderson have been so successful that it is mind-boggling. I sat down with Gov. Otter who actually knows Richard Anderson and asked him if our producers in agriculture could do more exporting. “Yes. In fact I would tell you that I happened to be in Beijing when we sold the 1^st hay to the Brighton Dairies of China. We made the pitch and sold 500 times a month was the initial order and the next year when we went back again they wanted more. He’s got good high quality dairy hay which have to be 46% total digestible nutrients. Not only that but Richard follows the Idaho model and that is that we under promise and over deliver. Those folks have been very impressed with Richard and he has a big operation in Eastern Idaho and I have gone through that operation where he condenses the bales, containerizes them and ships them over.
