 A source of very good health and revenue… bean seed grown in Idaho.

We all know that beans are very good for you but when you make that comment most folks would think you are referring to health. As Diana Caldwell from the Idaho Bean Commission suggests, beans can also be extremely healthy for our Idaho ag economy.  “Opportunities within the Americas for exports. We have been very successful in promoting the exports of Idaho dry bean seed into Mexico because they have had a drought and may have had no seeds so we will be exporting a lot of seeds down there

within the next couple of months.  We are also looking for a grant to try and get funds for tests of pinto beans in the Dominican Republic immediately and maybe in Haiti eventually. Haiti at this point is so unstable that we would never send anybody down there by themselves.
