It’s not too early to be thinking about what to do with your next holiday, in fact  Presidents Day is right around the corner! I’m Susan Allen and when Open Range returns I’ll tell you about a town that will be celebrating our cowboy heritage that very  weekend with a party you won’t want to miss . Trust me, Ellensburg Washington will be hopping Presidents Day weekend as people flock to the beautiful rodeo town to celebrate the cowboy way in the Spirit of the West Gathering. Not only will there be nationally known cowboy and cowgirl entertainers like Michael Martin Murphey ( whose song Wildfire still brings tears to my eyes), Chris Issacs, Adriane and a host of others will  be on stage to bring you a weekend  full of traditional cowboy music, poetry and art. If you missed cowboy Christmas in Vegas well this is the next best thing,the perfect venue to buy a cowboy hat or buckeroo gear; silver spurs, wild rags, braided reins or horse hair mecates given all  the unique venders in attendance.
