12-30 IAN Bryan-Bryan
To coin an old cliché, it’s a small, small world. Particularly when that world is restricted to agriculture. I think it must have been a year or 2 ago when I did an interview with a fellow by the name of Brian England. He was an experienced hunter and he had a wonderful story to tell about a horse pack trip into the wilderness of the state of Washington. He also was an agricultural salesman at the time. So I get in this conversation with this guy that works for an ag company called Agraquest. He has a great product which he describes, and then tells me his name is Brian England. I said, are you the same Brian England that I interviewed a couple years ago. Here’s his response. “It’s kind of an interesting deal because I went through a list of customers within my area and he worked for Wilbur- Ellis. He is one of our distributing companies for a biological fungicide that we have. I called him and I said Brian England, this is Brian England. I want to talk to you more about this product it is more of a cold call. Man, it took a while for him to figure out what was going on. We actually have the same names and ever since I talked to him, I run into people all over the place that say do you know this Brian England and I say yes I talked to him before. The funny thing is that both are in agriculture and both are avid hunters. Yep it’s a small world.
