Agriculture has changed in a lot of ways, but crop insurance agencies still largely run the same way they have for decades.

Cole… “ The industry hasn't changed a whole lot in the last 20 or 30 years. It still runs a lot on manual process, so most agents spend a lot of their time keying data instead of doing analysis and spending time with growers on how their risk management could be better handled.”

That’s Tom Cole, one of the founding partners in Till Insurance, which he described as a crop insurance agency built for the American farmer that is seeking to modernize crop insurance.

Cole… “ We launched the business back in 2024 after working with an agency out of Iowa and we had spent a lot of time looking at the back office, the keying, the acreage reporting, how claims worked, production reporting, and figured that a lot of processes were still undigitized and there are a lot of tools that could now be used to free up time for agents. Since then have been growing pretty quickly, recruiting agents all over the US, helping them get in front of growers with better tools to free up their time.”

Till Insurance decided to set up an easy way for agents to have the back office support they need to form their own independent agencies.
