What Famous People Are Against Ranching
I opened this morning’s paper to a full page ad featuring “Sir Paul” in a stylish black, “ Eat No Meat” T-shirt, with the verbiage, “I am Paul McCartney and I am a Vegetarian” , courtesy of, of course of PETA. I am Susan Allen, I am meat eater and when Open Range you’ll be surprise at all other celebrities that are against the efforts of American ranchers. I love this country’s freedom to express ourselves,, our passions, views and so when I saw the recent McCartney ad , the one where he’s in a black stylish “ Eat No Meat” t-shirt , telling us he no longer can even bear to fish because, he explained on the ad he became so upset after he caught a fish and watched it gasp for breath in McCartney’s words the realization hit him that , “his life, meaning the fish was as important to “him” again the fish the as mine is to me.” Hey I give PETA credit for landing such a big celeb as their spokesperson. Yet as someone who believes in the work of our ranchers and knows how hard groups like PETA and the Humane Society of the U.S. are trying to abolish the industry, one way to combat their message is not to support (via tickets, movies, clothing etc…) those who financially support PETA and the Humane Society of the U.S. A partial list includes; Alec Baldwin, Alicia Silverstone, Carrie Underwood, Charlize Theron, Eva Mendes, Jessica Biel, Keanu Reeves, Natalie Portman, Pierce Brosnan , Woody Harrelson, Perez Hilton, Khloe Kardashian, Bill Maher, Ellen DeGeneres ,Ryan Gosling, Mickey Rourke, and fashion industries, Cindy Crawford, Tim Gunn, Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood. Granted in the case of the HSUS some folks are simply misguided, not understanding that their funds aren’t helping to save animals they care about but used for an anti-meat agendas, but ignorance is no excuse.
