The Idaho Wine Commission Introduces Sippin' In The City: Idaho's Newest and Hippest Wine and Food Event for the Fall. Break out from the everyday tasting, step away from the table, and prepare yourself for a different type of tasting. Sip your way through Idaho's best while tasting sweet and savory bites in the city.

In its first year, the Idaho Wine Commission will be hosting Sippin' in the City on November 17, 2011 at the Linen Building in Boise, ID, featuring a vast array of Idaho wineries and food vendors. Sippin' in the City will feature more than 15 Idaho wineries, tasty treats from Idaho's culinary artists and great music provided by Boise's Vinyl Preservation Society. Here is Idaho Wine Commission  spokesperson Moya Shatz:  “Sippin' in the City is targeting the 40 and under crowd because this demographic is buying wine and we want them to buy Idaho wine. Many of them don’t even know that Idaho produces wine so that is why we are targeting them. That is not to say that they are going to have their ID’s checked but this is the crowd we are focusing on.”

The consumer tasting will begin promptly at 6:30pm and run till 9:30pm. Nearly 300 guests will be greeted with a commemorative wine glass as they taste and sip their way through Idaho's best.
