Beware Fake Forms & Case Against China

Beware Fake Forms & Case Against China. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Northwest Report.

The U.S. Trade Representative is filing a case against China before the World Trade Organization to protect jobs in America’s poultry processing sector. USTR General Counsel Tim Reif says it has been a year now since China levied duties on poultry imports.

REIF: China’s imposed duties that have restricted the market, reduced our exports by 90%. The level of our exports which was, if you measure the time between this action was taken and the end of this year, we will have loss about a billion dollars in exports which is a very substantial number.

Some private websites that charge to prepare immigration forms mimic the look and feel of official government sites, leading users to mistakenly believe they are dealing directly with the government and paying USCIS fees. Many copycat sites add to the confusion by charging applicants the same amount for preparing an immigration form that USCIS charges for filing that same form. As a result, some applicants have sent forms to USCIS without submitting the filing fees. These applicants mistakenly believed they had paid the USCIS filing fee when they paid the private firm for preparing the forms.
Now here’s today’s Washington Grange report.
