February 15 2005 Eskimos and global warming Despite the fact that today's story involves the issue of global warming it's subject is actually a bit "frigid", especially after what for most of us was a warm and fuzzy or maybe even a hot Valentines day. Irregardless of whether global warming is a reality or fabrication there is evidence that the global ice cap is melting and those immediately effected by it's demise, the Eskimos and Inuit people of North America are concerned their culture will disappear along with it. While the majority of people feel environmental issue shouldn't be turned into a human rights ones, the Eskimos believe that they should be compensated for global warming and want to express this opinion to the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights along with the position that the United States is the main culprit by being virtue of being one of the largest contributors. . Those in the scientific community who view global warming as environmental propaganda, see the Eskimos as pawns for a leftist agenda that promotes the stance, if you don't believe in global warming you are anti- Eskimo .
