Governor signs cattle truck port of entry bill
Washington Ag Today May 5, 2011 Come July 22nd commercial cattle trucks that enter Washington’s Pend Oreille and Spokane counties from Idaho will be required to stop at a port of entry for inspection or face a one-thousand dollar fine. That is what is required under House Bill 1922 sponsored by Republican Representative Matt Shea and now signed by Governor Gregoire. Many Canadian cattle trucks have been avoiding the Interstate 90 port of entry inspection by taking Highway 290 to the north. Now this from Stockland Livestock. Thanks Jack.
