The Idaho Grain Producers Association hires new Executive Administrator The Idaho Grain Producers Association (IGPA) regrets to announce the departure of long-time executive administrator Sue Megran, but welcomes the hiring of her replacement, Christie Bauscher. Known affectionately by a multitude of Idaho grain farmers throughout her eighteen-year tenure, Sue Megran recently announced her intentions to retire from the IGPA effective May 13, 2011.

“In all my years working for the IGPA and the volunteer growers on the board, I haven’t met one that wasn’t terrific,” reflected Megran.  “It has truly been a wonderful experience these past eighteen years”. Here is Travis Jones who is executive director of the Idaho grain producers Association: “the Idaho grain producers Association have been lucky for 18 years to have had the services of Sue Megran working for Idaho’s wheat and barley farmers. She decided at 70 years of age that she was ready to retire. I guess we have to to honor that and welcome in Christie Bauscher.”

While replacing Megran will be no easy task, the IGPA is pleased to announce the hiring of Christie Bauscher of Boise.  Bauscher, a 2008 graduate of Boise State University and recent employee of the Bank of the Cascades, brings a strong combination of administrative and communication skills to the position.

“I’m excited that Christie’s joining the IGPA”, said IGPA executive director Travis Jones. “She’s got big shoes to fill, but her family farm background, interest in politics and customer service experience is a perfect fit to serve Idaho’s wheat and barley farmers.”

Bauscher, a native of Gooding, Idaho, will make her official start on May 2.
