 Last rebuttal to e-mails…Part 3. I’m DS…

OK. Here we are with our last e-mailer regarding the BLM releasing the names of cattlemen using public lands to graze. First the e-mail and again, I won’t use names, even though these e-mailers demand a release of the names of cattlemen using public lands. Interestingly, of all the e-mails I got about this issue 75% were from women.

“Why do you object to the release?  What do you have to hide?  If I rent my home, I have a right to know to whom and how much they are paying and what they are doing with it.  Same with public lands.  It's nothing against you personally, just that the public has a right to know so they can make informed decisions about how public lands should be managed.  What on earth is the problem?”

 Now the response from Wyatt Prescott, Executive Director of the Idaho Cattleman’s Association: “The problem is that information gives everything pertaining to their business. The whole reason Western Watersheds wants it so they know they can target individuals to litigate them out of business and plow ‘em under. It wouldn’t be a problem if they’re weren’t radical, agenda driven groups like Western Watersheds out there doing nothing but trying to put an end to public lands grazing.”

 I’ve covered this story from a million perspectives and I can tell you that many of these so called environmental groups consist of lawyers making fat salaries off of taxpayers by litigating.
