Stan Boyd, Executive Director of the Idaho Wool Growers Association sounds off. I’m David Sparks and that’s next. Every once in a while I run into a colorful character who’s extremely bright, articulate and totally engaging. Such a guy is outspoken Stan Boyd, Executive Director of the Idaho Wool Growers Association. We were talking the other day about the ultimate demise of U of I professor Dr. Marie Bulgin over her stance on transmission of pulmonary disease from domestic sheep to bighorns. That set Stan off. “Just to finish off, you do know that after about 4 months and a file that was 8” thick, U of I exonerated her saying they could find no wrong doing. All that was was the enviro’s and the press which is liberal. Scandals sell newspapers so let’s fabricate this thing. This latest ruling came down and it’s unjustified and uncalled for. Mick Carlson’s been on that allotment since 1928 and guess what there’s still bighorn sheep there. His son will be a 5th generation and they’re gonna throw him off for absolutely nothing.”
