8-26 IAN Idaho Beef Promotion

Idaho beef is taking on a bit of a locavore look. I’m David Sparks and I’ll be right back to explain. How about attending a cowboy cookout at your local grocery store where the objective is to connect consumers, that’s you listeners out there with your local cattlemen and women who put beef on your dinner table any night that you so choose to do so. There will be a number of activities taking place in the parking lot during the event, such as an opportunity to:

-Meet your local cattle ranchers - - the folks who work hard every day to provide you with America’s favorite protein:  BEEF

-Spin the BEEF prize wheel and win fun stuff like hats and t-shirts

-They’ll have games and activities for the kids too - - A big bounce house, stick horse races and more

-Stop by and guess the weight of the steer - - one lucky shopper will win $200 in beef

Here’s Tracie Odonnel, Executive Director of the Idaho Beef Council: “Most consumers are very far removed from the ranch nowadays so it’s a chance to talk one-on-one with a rancher.”

The staff will be bbq’ing right there in the parking lot and handing out free samples of mouthwatering steaks.
