 High tech makes Idaho Farming the best in the world according to the Governor. Agriculture in Idaho, according to Governor Otter, is the best in the world and he claims that there is a very powerful component: “All because we add the hi-tech to it so all of those things are in concert, I spoke to the ag folks just recently and I said you’ve gotta maintain good partnerships with the folks who are inventing the new way of doing business, all this hi-tech stuff. You’ve got to be in the forefront with those folks adding that innovation to your ability to produce the best farm products. We’re surpassing the world because of all the software companies we’ve got in this state that continue to work on the traditional industries and continue to help us improve our ability to extract to harvest and then to process. If we can maintain that transition from the miracles that they work in their think tanks and shops and apply those to our farm products, we’re gonna continue to lead the world.
