5-17 FB Steaks Against Hunger
Remember the old “Where’s the Beef” commercial that Wendy’s Hamburger chain ran. I’m David Sparks and I’ll be right back to tell you where the beef is. Well the beef producers in our state continue to step up to the plate in terms of food donations. Thursday, May 20th is Raise the Steaks Against Hunger day. Each day thousands of adults, seniors and children, here in Idaho, go hungry. One of the items most needed by The Idaho Foodbank is protein and the food bank struggles to maintain a consistent supply of it. Upon hearing this Idaho’s beef industry wanted to make a difference. They’ve joined forces with the Treasure Valley’s top steak restaurants to Raise the Steaks Against Hunger. Here’s Executive Director of the Idaho Beef Council, Traci O’Donnell: It’s all day, it can be lunch, dinner, happy hour. Grab your friends, family, colleagues, eat at the restaurants.” Dine at one of the participating locations for lunch, dinner, or even happy hour on Thursday, May 20th and a generous portion of your bill will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank.
