 Here’s something unimaginable. According to a recent poll 4 out of 5 Americans don’t trust…..you fill in the blank. I’m David Sparks and I’ll be right back with the culprit. This is not exactly an all ag story but I know it applies to a lot of ag people out there. 4 out of 5 of you folks don’t trust: Your car dealer? Your dentist? A lawyer? Nope…it’s your government. Public confidence in government is at one of the lowest points in a half century, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center. Nearly 8 in 10 Americans say they don't trust the federal government and have little faith it can solve America's ills. The survey illustrates the ominous situation President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party face as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall's elections. And speaking of Obama, the great anointed one, while sympathizing constantly with the poor and unemployed and while figuring ways to take money out of the hands of the working wealthy, made $4 million last year.

Here’s Idaho Senator Mike Crapo’s Press Secretary Lindsay Northern on why we don’t trust government: “I think it’s about the national debt. People say they’re concerned about the spending going on in Washington and the rising debt.” For the record, Senator Crapo has voted against all the bailout plans. You’ve got to look at the people who are voting for these things and those who are not and say What’s up?”
