Health Insurance 2

Yesterday, we pretty much laid out the fact that the prevailing view in Idaho about a nationalized health care system was not exactly positive and that our politicians are fighting it. I never thought I’d say something like this, but there is an idea in this bill which sounds at the very least, interesting. I’m David Sparks and I’ll tell you about it in a minute.

Isn’t it amazing how many people shop on-line. Wouldn’t you have loved to have bought stock in e-Bay when it was just beginning. Well speaking of e-Bay, there’s a concept in the new health care bill that resembles e-Bay and it may be good for farmers and ranchers. Here’s American Farm Bureau Health Policy Specialist Pat Wolff to explain: “Farmers and ranchers who already have health insurance have the option of keeping the health insurance they have or buying insurance on a new marketplace called the exchange. An exchange is like an e-Bay for insurance. There’ll be one exchange in each state. The bill defines 4 levels of insurance coverage, a basic plan, a high end plan, and 2 in between, and a person who wants to buy insurance on the exchange will go on-line, look at the 4 options, be able to tell what insurance companies are selling those plans and how much each one is charging.”
