11/03/08 Cattlemen's College kicks off cattle convention

Washington Ag November 3, 2008 The Washington Cattlemen's Association and the Washington CattleWomen's Association hold their 83rd Annual Convention and Trade Show in Pasco next week at the Red Lion. WCA executive vice president Jack Field says the first event is Wednesday, November 12th and that is the Pfizer Cattlemen's College, which runs from 11 a.m. to five p.m. Field: "We will feature a variety of speakers talking about nutritional requirements for wintering your beef cows and utilization of high fiber low quality feeds with the use of supplements. We will talk about bull soundness exams, genetic markets, external and internal parasitic control, infectious reproductive disease, body score and conditioning." A wrap up panel discussion will conclude the day. Field: "We are going to feature Tim Bodine with Performix Nutritional Services, Chuck Cox Pfizer Anima Health, Larry Gran Northwest manager with Pfizer Animal Genetics and Dr. Richard Lenhart, part of the Pfizer animal health program."
