Who would have ever thought that a large portion of adults over the age of 35 would be entertaining the idea of being back in "gym class"? For most of us, memories of our days in gym class bring back a mixed bag of emotions. At the forefront is the memory of standing in a line waiting to be picked for a team, and the horrors of "hitting" the showers during mid puberty. But along with those come the memories of how much fun we really had playing all those gym class classics, such as duck duck goose, Red Rover, and dodge ball; not even realizing we were keeping in shape. A new two hour exercise program for adults only called "Old School P.E." is taking off in cities across the nation and offers a way for the slightly out of shape but young at heart to enjoy childhood activities without all the regulations. With rules as simple as no score, and spouses or significant others playing on opposing teams, a good time is guaranteed. One thing that will be significantly different from the gym class of your youth will be the inevitable stiffness you'll experience the day or two after.
