Washington Ag May 29, 2008 The political action committee of the Washington Farm Bureau, the state's largest general farm organization, has once again endorsed Dino Rossi for governor. The Farm Bureau's liaison to the PAC, Patrick Connor, says no other gubernatorial candidate received any endorsement recommendation from 22 county Farm Bureaus across the state.
Connor: "We think that Mr. Rossi presents the best opportunity for agriculture in Washington state. Some meaningful reform that will help small business across the state, farmers and ranchers included."
Connor says the only other statewide race with a Farm Bureau PAC endorsement right now is for the re-election of Rob McKenna as Attorney General.
Connor: "Several other statewide candidates received several votes but not enough through our process to earn an endorsement yet. So we will have to wait until the June cycle to see if others win that endorsement."
The Farm Bureau PAC has also made endorsements in nearly three dozen legislative races as well as judicial and local elections. You can find all the endorsements at www.wsfb.com or call 1-800-331-3276. Candidates are recommended for endorsement based on their voting records (if already in office) and their understanding and support of Farm Bureau policy.
