Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran and on today's program we are talking about traveling with food and wine in mind. You know there are so many great magazines and books giving the traveler great tips about where to dine in almost any destination. I want to talk about a guide that I find truly remarkable, and that is the Zagat Guide. Zagat Guides are based on a collection of Consumer Surveys. They cover everything travel oriented and they are said to be "the world's leading provider of consumer surveybased dining, travel and leisure information, with more than 250,000 voters participating worldwide". I like them because I have found the ratings and reviews have always been just right on the mark. Every time I visit a new city and use a Zagat Guide, I have found my new favorite restaurant or hotel. It is always the way it was described and it was exactly what I was looking for. Check them out on-line as well you can sign up for a subscription before you travel and research the golf courses and the nightlife as well as the style of restaurant that you most enjoy and even comments about the wine lists.
