Washington Ag March 13, 2008 Sheep Producers throughout eastern Washington and northern Idaho are invited to attend the Columbia Basin Sheep Information Day this Saturday, March 15th. The Columbia Basin and Spokane Area Sheep Producers have teamed up with Washington State University to offer the field day, which is being held at Blauert Farm located at 115 SE in Washtucna. The morning session begins at 10 a.m. with sessions on pasture management and club lamb selection. After a hosted lunch the afternoon will feature a Show and Tell session where sheep producers exchange ideas, tips and show favorite tools and gizmos.
One more reminder from Dave Paul of the Risk Management Agency that this coming Monday, March 17th is the sales closing date for Multi-Peril Crop Insurance for spring crops for 2008.
Paul: "That will be the final date for producers, both current policyholders and anybody that doesn't have a policy, to make all of their decisions on crop insurance coverage, especially which crops to insure and which level of coverage to obtain prior to that March 17th date."
March 17th is also the deadline for new applications for Adjusted Gross Revenue Lite coverage. That is available in all counties throughout the Pacific Northwest.
