03/07/08 Wireless lights

Every now and then a new product comes along that seems too good to be true. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be right back to tell you about one that just has to be that good. I was glancing over one of the livestock publications the other day when an adver-article caught my absolute attention. No, it wasn't about a new prime steakhouse and bakery combination opening just a few miles from me  it was introductory information about wireless trailer lights. That's right  wireless trailer lights. Just think of the convenience, not to mention no more loss of your sunny disposition trying to find wiring problems. Now, people who run horse trailers on mostly paved roads may not appreciate the magnitude of this glorious invention as much as someone who has trailered out through the pasture on some rutted cow trail road, turned around in the sagebrush and backed up to a remote corral to haul in the last calves. That's not really a problem until you hook up the trailer with no time to spare to get to a rodeo and the lights don't work. Then you remember where the trailer was last and if you're lucky you find a bulb that has been bounced too hard and replace it. If it's not a bulb, then the circuit tester is used and that leads you to check the trailer connection, which leads to loosing the little bitty setscrew that holds the connection together. Finally, you find a messed up wire and jam everything back together and take off for the rodeo. Hopefully you're in the rough stock events or bulldogging because by now you're ready to take on anything. Or you could have put on Remote-Controlled Easy On Wireless Tail Lights.
