Does it make any sense to plow down a forest to save one tree? No, I didn't think so. The recent home fires in Seattle linked to the Earth Liberation Front is a prime example of yet another group of people using a probable good cause as a front for terrorism. These homes built with recycled waste wood and environmentally friendly products had earned a five star "Built Green" rating. ELF, known for causing economic damage to organizations or companies it deems to be harming the environment, is made up of independent groups or individuals without structure or leadership. Is it "green" to set fire to a structure and send vast amounts of pollutants and gases into the atmosphere as a result? Not to mention nearby wildlife or the human element that is endangered in the process. Isn't it ironic that these peoples put such energy into activities that actually do more harm to the very thing they claim they are trying to preserve and protect? Earth Liberation Front? I think more appropriately "Earth Laceration Faction".
