The Farm Bureau's Young Farmers and Ranchers District Five chairmen live and farm outside Moscow. Paul and Erica Wittmore have ten acres where they raise horses and hogs. Paul takes care of the farm and also works for a local co-op hauling seed and feed to area farmers.
ERICA "I'm a high school agriculture education teacher and FFA advisor so I'm teaching agriculture every day. I came from a farming background and enjoy my horses. Its nice to hear the ideas and get new things that I can use in my classroom. The kids really like the variety that I've come back with."
Erica and Paul say its important for them to be active in the YFR program.
ERICA "I just think its great to meet people in our age range and that have a passion for agriculture and they share some common knowledge that we can share ideas and see what's new, what's not new."
PAUL "Have an organization where they get together and discuss issues like that are current."
Paul and Erica Wittmore, YFR leaders from District 5.
