Ag World Golf Classic Pt 1
I'm Bob Larson. The Columbia Basin ag community is stepping up, into the tee box actually, for a great cause this week for the 6th Annual Ag World Golf Classic.Ag World founder and CEO Warren Henniger says this year's tournament is coming up this Wednesday ...
HENNIGER ... "Yeah, the tournament is going to be on June the 12th and it's for the Ronald McDonald House and the dollars that are generated go to the house and it's the house in Spokane, Washington which services the Columbia Basin from Quincy to Boardman, Oregon."
Henniger says the House provides a great service for families with other things on their minds ...
HENNIGER ... "What the Ronald McDonald House is it's kind of a home away from home for parents and kids that have their little ones in the hospital tending to medical needs that they have and they're right next to the hospital in Spokane, is where the house is. And, it services a lot of families from Moses Lake and Othello and Tri Cities and Hermiston."
But, he says, while the 144 golf cards are filled there are still ways to get involved ...
HENNIGER ... "We're looking for more sponsors and donors of course to give and all those dollars go to the House and they're able to promote their business while they're there too and they can be on the course."
The Ag World Golf Classic will be held at Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick. Tune in tomorrow for more on the tournament and how it's brought the local ag industry together.
