Be a Digi-Star Champion Contest

Be a Digi-Star Champion Contest

Around the region, 4-H and FFA youth are preparing for spring livestock shows. There is a contest happening this month, from May 1 to June 1 and I want to be sure that youth exhibiting livestock projects this year across the Pacific Northwest are aware of this social media contest to win a new portable livestock scale system from Digi-Star.

Robin Starkenburg, a fellow Washington State grad and now Digi-Star’s Marketing and Communication Manager shares

Starkenburg: “So the contest itself is super easy. If you are under 21 and you have livestock or dairy project for the 2014 show season. You can post a photo or a 60 second video to Digi-Star’s Facebook page. We will monitor those posts from May first to June first. Literally the post with the most likes on it, wins the scale system.”

The photo or video that receives the most likes will win their choice of an Alleyway or Wrangler Jr. Livestock scale, platform or a StockWeigh 300 indicator.

These are amazing scales that can fit in the back of a pick-up — just need level ground — gravel is fine — and run on two AA batteries.

For show superintendents or FFA Advisors — Digi-Star has a special discount you can use, if you are interested in purchasing. Go to their website digi-star.com to learn more.

To enter, youth exhibitors can post a picture or 60 second video of their 2014 livestock project to Digi-Star's Facebook page
