The Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association is sponsoring the 2008 Idaho Water Supply Outlook so that farmers and ranchers can get the latest information. The Director of the Idaho Department of Water Resources David Tuthill will talk about the on going surface and groundwater issues at the January 10th meeting in Burley and NRCS Water Supply Specialist Ron Abromovich will give a snowpack update. Following that presentation which is free and open to the public attendees are encouraged to attend a free trade show and classes at the Burley Convention Center. Show chairman Shane Riddle says the latest in irrigation equipment will be on display at the show.
RIDDLE "A lot of the focus has been switched over to water conservation, water protection. We're having a class on water saving hardware. We're having a class on irrigation management to protect our water quality. We are also talking about pump selection and new equipment for single phase equipment."
In addition to free technical seminars more than 50 irrigation equipment manufacturers, dealers and distributors of landscape and agricultural irrigation products will be at the January 10th show displaying the latest equipment and services.
