New fact sheets on fluid and electrolyte therapy in calves, concentrated-animal operations for cow-calf enterprises, economic comparisons of artificial insemination and natural service, and ranch-road maintenance have been added to the Cow-Calf Management Guide and Cattle Producer's Library. This perennial favorite has been around since 1980 and the University of Idaho's Benton Glaze says the guide is continually updated.
GLAZE " The group comes together and reviews the fact sheets and finds those that need to be revised and then we also add new ones and take the ones out that are no longer applicable."
This year there are 250 fact sheets in the 947-page handbook, which is available for $95 as a three-ring binder with a CD-ROM disk included or $35 for the CD-ROM alone Over ten thousand copies have been sold in 42 states and eight countries.
