The Bureau of Land Management will soon put out the 'help wanted' sign. These are non-paying jobs, except for expenses. Idaho has four Resource Advisory Councils with 15 members, each serving three year terms. Every year five new members are named by the Secretary of the Interior to these councils. BLM's Shelley Davis-Brunner says the RAC's consist of a myriad of people. DAVIS-BRUNNER "For example we'll have federal grazing permittees, we'll have recreation folks on the advisory board, we'll have representatives of environmental organizations, historical organizations, wild horse and burro interests. We have public at large, elected officials." Shortly the BLM will seek nominees in each of the four districts, Twin Falls, Boise, Idaho Falls and Coeur d'Alene. DAVIS-BRUNNER "The district offices will put together their package that comes to the state office. We confer with the governor's office and then they're sent to Washington for quite a lengthy review." Last year the nominee names went to DC in March but Dirk Kempthorne didn't name the finalists until the last week of October. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
