She didn't come from a farm or ranch but Alicia Krantz is deeply involved in agriculture today. Krantz, the mother of three is business manager for the Notus School District and she's Canyon County Farm Bureau President.
KRANZ "I married into agriculture. I loved in from the moment I knew it. A great place to raise our kids. Kurt still farms however he works for somebody else now; we don't farm our own land anymore. This is our first year without farming our own land so that's kind of been new to us but his heart is still deep into the agricultural piece."
It's a fast pace, staying on top of issues and running the board meetings.
KRANZ "A great ride so far. I think our kids, they're it. They are our industry, they are our future and we have got to make certain that whether it be ag issues or any other issues that are going to affect our future that our kids have the best education they can have in order to move forward and the same with ag issues. We've got to make certain that our legislators, anyone who is involved in any type of decision making, policy making, they have to be the ones we educate."
