Lamb Checkoff Helping U.S. Sheep Producers Grow Demand

During the recent ASI Convention in Reno, the American Lamb Board met to discuss current and future activities. ALB board member and Idaho rancher Mike Duff says that lamb checkoff dollars are being used wisely and efforts are paying off for producer investors.

He also says the lamb checkoff’s ROI is pretty amazing considering the amount of money collected compared to other commodity checkoff programs.

In Reno, the American Lamb Board also announced its newly appointed officers including:

• David Fisher (TX) – Chairman

• Jimmy Parker (AL) – Vice Chairman

• Mike Duff (ID) – Treasurer

• Dave McEwen (MT) – Secretary
