US Wheat Associates just wrapped up their annual crop quality report, bringing together producers, researchers, and industry professionals, before taking the findings on a global tour to meet directly with customers. Ralph Loose, director of communications and global outreach for US Wheat Associates, shares how this year's effort came together and what the response has been.

“This year, we had a big year. We reached, by our calculations, more than 1700 millers and bakers in different parts of the world. We conducted 37 seminars in 45 countries. It's the highest attendance we've had in over five years, which is good news. And our response from the people who were there was really encouraging. You know, there's a lot of competition we're is facing right now, and they're seeing that in the in the pricing right now, there's just a lot of wheat on the market. There's a lot of competition. So these kinds of seminars, these crop quality seminars, kind of it's beneficial to us, because no other country does that, and our customers really appreciate it.”

Loose says Looking ahead into the rest of this year, US Wheat Associates is working with USDA and its funding programs, including the America First Trade Promotion Program. This program is a $285 million initiative designed to assist farmers, ranchers and producers in leveraging new market opportunities and enhancing US agricultural exports.
