Facing Wolf Predation? Free Webinar Offers Help for California Ranchers
California cattle ranchers and livestock producers are invited to join a free online webinar on Tuesday, July 22, at 1 p.m. Pacific. Hosted by the California Cattlemen’s Association, it’ll be a collaborative conversation focused on what kind of help is available for those dealing with livestock losses due to wolf attacks.Individuals from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be on hand to talk through the tools and support their agencies can offer—especially when it comes to legal, non-lethal ways to help keep wolves away from your herd.
When you register, you’ll be asked to submit any questions you have about wolf deterrence. Organizers say they’ll try to cover those questions during the main presentation so there’s more time left for open discussion at the end.
There’s no cost to attend, but you do need to register ahead of time. A Zoom link will be sent to you once you’re approved.
