“We kind of give them a broad look at the whole process. So we'll show them the field. We'll show them the actual harvest when possible, and crop progress permitting, you know if it's ready to be harvested. We'll take them to the local elevator in the small towns all around our wheat states. We'll take them to the elevator to show how a farmer delivers his grain. We'll even, when possible, show that wheat being loaded on a train and headed toward either the Gulf or the Pacific Northwest, wherever the wheat is headed.”
Loos explains that the visiting trade teams will get a full start to finish. Look at us wheat production. Their schedules include tours of farms, processing plants and milling facilities, giving them a first hand look at the standards and procedures behind us wheat production. They tend
to share what they learned here with not only millers and their company, but even with other companies. You know, the Japan flower Miller's association is good example of that, where seven or eight Millers from that country, from different companies, will come together and learn about us, wheat, check out crop conditions, and when they go back home, they share, you know, what they learned with other companies.”
