When it comes to telling agriculture’s story in a fresh and impactful way, Florida’s Farm Bureau team just earned top honors.

At this year’s American Farm Bureau Federation Communications Conference in Kansas City, Florida’s Farm Bureau was recognized with the Best Unique Tactic or Execution award for its innovative mental health awareness campaign—The “It’s OK Toolkit”—created by the Sumter County Farm Bureau. This initiative is designed to help farmers and ranchers access critical mental health resources and encourage conversations around mental wellness in the agricultural community.

The creative minds behind this campaign—Rachael Smith, James Neville, and Shelby Martin—were honored for their thoughtful, effective approach to a topic that’s too often overlooked.

The “It’s OK Toolkit” is just one example of how Florida’s Farm Bureau is using communications to make a real difference in the lives of farmers and ranchers, breaking down the stigma around mental health and offering support where it's needed most.
