Ag Equipment Trends for 2025

“There's some spend, some storm clouds on the horizon, whether that is related to weather, related to commodity markets, or related to geopolitical issues, or even just the lack of a farm bill, all these things lead to uncertainty. And you know, unlike inputs that have to be purchased year up year upon year, like a seed or crop protection chemicals, tractors sometimes can get delayed. And so we're seeing that reflected in the market right now. It's really that, that reflection of uncertainty for the year 2024 we ended up the, you know, down for the for the year, and as we start out 2025 seeing that same trend continue that's been across the board, whether it's the smallest horsepower tractors, those under 40 horsepower tractors that are currently down, you know, 10% from where they were this time last year, to those large self-propelled combines that are down, you know, 75% from where they were this time last year.”
And when it comes to talks of tariffs on aluminum and steel,
“Tariffs is certainly one of those where, where we have a disagreement with the administration curb
blades, with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.”
