Class Action Lawsuit Against Meatpackers Update

“We filed a motion with the federal district court in Minnesota seeking preliminary approval of a settlement reached with JBS in the amount of 83 and a half million dollars. And in addition to the monetary portion of the settlement, there's also an agreement to cooperate, so JBS would agree in specific ways to cooperate as we continue to prosecute our case against the other three packers. So the way this works is that the court will determine whether the proposed class action settlement is appropriate and equitable and if such a determination is made, Then the court would order that notice be sent to all the potential members of the class who could file a claim against the settlement.”
Producers who sold to any one of the four big packers between June 1 of 2015, and February 29 at 2020, are eligible to be a part of the class action lawsuit. I.
